About the Author
Elizabeth C. Hunter is a freelance writer, a contributing editor for Blue Ridge Country Magazine, and has written the text for three books on the Blue Ridge Parkway. She lives in Bakersville, North Carolina. Charles W. Maynard worked as the first executive director of the Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and as the director of advancement at the International Storytelling Center in Jonesborough, Tennessee.
